What This Means for Texas Homeowners
For homeowners with substantial equity who need cash for debt consolidation, remodeling, or other major expenses, a fixed-rate second mortgage may be worth considering.
Unlike a variable-rate HELOC, a 30-year fixed second lien offers predictable monthly principal and interest payments while allowing homeowners to keep their existing first mortgage and its interest rate.
